Welcome to Congressional Records at Liberated Text's Project, War Upon Iraq - 2007. This is an archive of Congressional Daily Records from 2007 relevant to the War on Iraq. Our intent is to make these transcripts accessible to individuals without them having to learn the ins and outs of Databases at both the Library of Congress' Thomas, and the U.S. Government Printing Office's (GPO) Congressional Record.
Our source files for these documents are from GPO's ASCII text files, and a direct link to the source file used is given on each page. All citations using the format: DocID:cr{DD}{mm}{YY}-{xxx} reference the GPO's Document ID Number for a specific document. This is not an unabridged archive of all references made to the Iraq War by Federal Politicians on the floor of the House and Senate, but is instead an archive of the transcripts the editors of Liberated Text have arbitrarily decided were relevant enough to include. If you believe that we have erred in omission, please feel to contact us at
liberatedtext{AT}liberatedtext.org.
As with most projects by Liberated Text, this archive has been heavily inner linked. The intent of this was to expose methods for direct linking to very specific parts of the Congressional Daily Records transcripts. The URIs are listed in the Table of Contents below. Deep linking to any part of this archive is approved and encouraged by Liberated Text.
